Old Theatre Inn Reviews

Stunning location in the middle of arable farmland. Very helpful owner who organised for us to be picked up in the old town centre and then personally drove us into the old town in the evening. The rooms were beautiful and clean but perhaps could have been aired a little more prior to our stay (perhaps leave doors open on nice days when no-one is staying). It was also confusing as on Hotels.com the hotel showed up as a Dali location and we booked a train to Dali, only to find out it is actually in Shaxi, approximately a 2 hour drive from Dali. On other sites it is called 'Shaxi Old Theatre Inn' and this clarifies it. Also the telephone number quoted is incorrect and should be checked.

This hotel was perfect. The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel itself is a wonderful old building with great character. The breakfast was cooked to order. The hotel has bikes you can use to ride around the beautiful countryside and into Shaxi village. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
