Do NOT book this property. In fact, Expedia should remove them from the website because Làng Cò resort is closed. We arrived at night only to find out it was dark and completely deserted. Since there was another resort with a similar name called Lăng Cô Beach Resort, we thought we got the wrong name. When we arrived at Lăng Cô Beach Resort, they told us Làng Cò has been closed for a while and they had no idea why they still took reservations. With nowhere else to go, we had to book a new room at Lăng Cô. This is not the end of the story. When I initially looked for a place to stay, Lăng Cô Beach Resort was full. However, their staff told us they were never full, which was not accurate because I tried looking on booking websites that night and couldn’t find a room at Lăng Cô Beach Resort. Here’s my theory; the two properties know each other, and Làng Cò was intentionally open for reservations so that guests would book at Làng Cò only to find out it was closed and then had to book a new room at Lăng Cô Beach Resort.

Dear Expedia: You are not reading my messages. I replied to your earlier message by informing you that this hotel is not open. We arrived to find, to our shock, that the hotel was deserted. I will write you when we get back home next week, but your lack of response is most disappointing.

Nightmare in Lang Co

Posted 16 Sep 2018 on Hotels
Nothing amazing. The hotel lack of proper maintenance and is in a state of despair. Should be closes as it is definitely do not have sufficient guests to generate the fund for proper maintenance. The beach which is beyond the control of the hotel is dirty and infested with sand flies. 2 weeks after my stay in Lang Co, I still have "too numerous to to count" insect bite marks on my leg and body. Foods in restaurants on the beach facing the South China Sea were not much to speak off. Foods at the restaurants at the lagoon were better but prices were a little on the high side.

This hotel shouldn’t be available, it is not operational at all. It needs to be closed down!

Quiet and great staff.

Posted 4 Feb 2017 on Hotels
The staff were very friendly and worked hard to make you happy. More like a home stay than a resort. Buildings and outside areas need a lot of work. Very good size bedroom with free wi fi, television, A/C and a fan and a good size shower room, but nowhere in shower to put shower items. Out of season a bit bleak. Value for money if under £20 per night. Breakfast not very good and very limited. Other meals a little too expensive but not by much and there are plenty of local eating places within walking distance. Very good size swimming pool but too cold to use out of season. Taking everything in to consideration not too bad.

Don't confuse this with Lang Co Beach Resort

Posted 10 Jul 2014
Pros: Closeness to beach, swimming pool
Cons: Service, reception... Not friendly
Location: Relax
The picture on their web looks like Lang Co Beach Resort (LCBR) 1 Km. down the street. The picture did fool me! The main building also looks like LCBR, but the service has nothing to do with the other resort. This resort is rather new, so the trees are still small and there isn't much shade, Rooms are comfortable, the breakfast buffet doesn't compare with the one at LCBR. If you have a choice, drive down one more mile, it'll be worth it!

Amazing location, disappointing hotel

Posted 9 Jun 2014
Pros: The room was good and location fantastic.
Cons: The grounds needed improving, the staff needed to be more welcoming and rats????
Location: The beach is beautiful and the sea very claen to swim in. There isn't much to do in Lang Co so book your hotel wisely.
Do not confuse with Lang Co BEACH resort!!!! The location of the hotel was amazing, situated on the beach which is stunning. The room was very nice, roomy, clean and modern. The staff however were abrupt and not helpful, the poolside and grounds unkept and we saw rats whilst we ate dinner!! Yes, rats!!!! Also the meal was very expensive which we ate in reception to avoid the rats!!! I booked this by mistake.... don't mix up with Lang Co BEACH resort!

Construction Site

This hotel should have closed while doing renovations. It should not have received guests. It was a disaster site.

Appalling

Posted 1 May 2014 on Hotels
We arrived and the hotel was a construction site. Drilling, construction mtls, a complete mess. They tried to put us in this bad smelling, no view room (when the room had been sold as seaview). The pool was green from lack of treatment. That this "Resort" was even taking reservations indicates how poor (or greedy) the management was. Terrible place, terribly run. There is another Lang Co Beach Resort further up the beach, which was wonderful in every way. Avoid this one.
