Stayed here in the past; a more comfortable stay the last time.
Menu had more local options back then and room was better laid out - layout of recent room felt more cramped.

The room where I stayed location was facing pool and restaurant so windows had to stay shut and its frosted, so there was no natural light or fresh air coming into the room
It gets hot quickly and has an oversized AC unit that has one setting, so you're either freezing or sweating. They had construction going on early in the morning in the room directly behind ours, so we were woken up twice by loud banging, which my husband reported and it stopped right away. We were offered another room by the staff, which was nice. But this is a case of getting what you paid for.

The facility was well kept. The area was peaceful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend.

I stayed for 4 nights at Shepard Inn with my fiancee. The atmosphere was lit. The place is very clean. Reception was helpful with all my questions. It was an easy check in /check out process. The location is convenient in crown point to many other attractions. All the other little extra services was great. The property is currently under renovation and can definitely use that facelift...I'm glad they are working on it. Overall 4.5 out of 5. I would stay there again.

Time.to get rid of those shower curtains. Otherwise, while small, clean and functional, so no major complaints.
