Nice place to stay in especially the York. I know it's out of the propertys control but Verizon service is non existent. The wifi is useless unless you are near the main office.

Loved our stay. The host was very communicative and had everything ready for us. The cabin was clean and quaint. The scenery was beautiful. We felt safe the entire time. The locals were beyond friendly and everything we needed was available. Looking forward to my next visit.

Mountain retreat in Redwoods
Posted 29 May 2021 on HotelsFirst off, you get what you pay for. I wanted a Cheeper place to stay while visiting the redwoods area around Crescent city. You pay extra if you want clean linens. I declined since I had a sleeping bag. Little did I know, in addition to no sheets on the bed, the no linens included no towels, no paper towels, no shampoo or hand soaps. Also note the office closes at 4 pm and is closed for a 1 hour lunch. Not a problem if you know the rules before you buy. Just glad the toilet included a fresh roll of toilet paper. It might have gotten messy.

Separate unit, not sharing heating, cooling system w/ others which made me feel safer during this covid19.
The room is connected to the room next door by a door which has no noise insulation.
The folks in other room woke up about 3am, grind coffee so loud . We woke us after a long drive and not able to back to sleep for a while. Not a pleasant night for us.
Note that linens are extra charge which should be noted at time of reservation.

Do not stay at Redwood Meadows
Posted 23 Aug 2019 on HotelsService was very bad.
We prepaid via hotels.com and they charged us again after we arrived.
I attempted to work it out and ended up not even unpacking.
Went and booked a room at the best western in Cresent City.
Hotels.com did not help us.
Had to get Capital One to reverse the charges

Tried to over charge us so we did not even unpack
Posted 21 Aug 2019 on HotelsWe did not even stay, the desk agent charged us for the room even though we pre-paid via Hotels.com
BTW, Hotels.com contacted the desk agent and believed her when she falsely said that my wife and I wanted to use a "different" credit card.
Hotels.com then said we had to provide a copy of our credit card statement.
Whole thing makes no sense as we used Capital One Venture card via Hotels.com to get 10X miles.
We did not even unpack we went to a Best Western instead.
So: Redwood Meadows (FAIL) Hotels.com (FAIL) Capital One (GREAT) as Capital one reversed the charge for the room we pre-paid for and did not use.
