Amazing view, close to town and ski slopes

Posted 15 Sep 2015 on Wotif
The lodge is in an amazing location overlooking Lake Jindabyne and with lovely views of the mountains. The staff were friendly and willing to assist, going the extra mile to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was delightful, and the atmosphere at the bar in the evening was friendly and warm. Our room was clean, well-presented and comfortable, with a door opening out onto the lawn and allowing us to access the gorgeous vista outside! We will certainly look at staying again.

Very expensive, not much there. Wouldn't go back

Posted 13 Sep 2015 on Wotif
The room didn't have a fridge or a microwave so you either had to eat in town or buy (the super expensive) dinners from the hotel kitchen. The rooms also didn't have a TV so don't go unprepared without a book or something! The view is nice but overall not worth the price.

Great little place. Only issue was noisy bathrooms. The plumbing gurgles and echos from every room making it very loud when anyone uses their bathrooms.

Lovely weekend break

Posted 1 Sep 2015
Pros: Very well looked after by Michele & her staff; superb view from our spacious room complete with sliding doors for easy access outside. Excellent chef
Cons: Lovely décor in our room, maybe a little updating of the décor in general use areas to match the rooms
Location: Easy drive to Thredbo and Perisher
We had a great stay, plenty of things for the kids to do while the parents were relaxing by the fire over drinks, chatting and appreciating the great view after a big day at the snowies.

The Place to Stay @ the SNOW

Posted 25 Aug 2015 on Hotels
My experience with this hotel has been great from start to finish. Michelle the Hotel manager at the time of my stay was very warm, caring and welcoming that made a huge difference as it made this feel more like a HOME as opposed to a hotel room. Michelle catered for my late arrival by ensuring that my room key was available and that my transition would be easy. Michelle also greeted my son and I at the breakfast table in he morning and she spent a little time getting to know us and didn't brush us off and this was appreciated. She was also accessible on the phone and provided great assistance with any concern i had. The facilities and games room were enjoyable and we enjoyed the table tennis. The fire places in the communal lounge were excellent, sleeping wasn't an issue as the place and residents were quiet and well behaved. The morning views are breath taking and exquisite. The wildlife all around the hotel was fabulous and we saw many Kangaroos, wombats and 2 emus. All in all i would highly recommend and stay at this facility again as my son had the best nights sleeps here compared to other venues we booked in the past. There is nothing like a home and family feeling.

I wasn't expecting the sub-standard of the rooms. There was no T.V., no fridge, no ironing board or iron. The photos on the website did not match what I experienced and considering the amount that I paid for two nights I was expecting at least a T.V. and fridge in the room.

It is unfortunate that your have been unable to embrace the beautiful surrounds and rooms of the lodge. The photos of the rooms on our website are indeed a true representation. We clearly state on our website that there are no TV's or fridges in our rooms, however we do provide an iron and ironing board on each level of the accommodation wing. It is the very nature of our establish in providing a relaxing environment to provide large entertainment facilities such as TV, games room, ping pong and pool table in common areas and keep the accommodation wing relaxed and peaceful. Regards, Management

Great location with Great Views

Posted 14 Aug 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Accomodation, great meals and attentive staff
Location: Hill top vista 10 minutes to ski tube, 15 minutes to Jindy.
We were looked after really well, thanks to Michelle and her team. Really enjoyed our family stay, with the lodge feel, great views, ping pong and sitting around the large log fire leaving us really relaxed at the end of a long day skiing.
