There was nothing that we liked about the property, letā€™s say food was ok. Things we didnā€™t like: Air conditioning insufficient, Mildew/Mold on sofa in room, door to adjacent room didnt lock (4 screws were put into door to keep it closed), mildew in bathroom, Pool consistently (3days) cloudy/murky, Jacuzzi hot tub had BROWN WATER & one night was stinking of a bad odor, beach area eroded. We had a total of 10 family/friends - 2 checked out to a different hotel 1st night, 2 went home a day earlier because they couldnā€™t take it anymore.

The staff is absolutely amazing. For an AI resort the food was better than other resorts plus there's 5 restaurants off the resort to go eat at within 600 ft if you like. I do think they should have room service available to all floors as it does not state that on the website when booking. Also get mini fridges in all rooms please.

Weā€™ve been staying at El Cozumeleno for 20 years. We like the small all inclusive vibe. There is a great snorkeling area directly in front of the hotel. Pepe Scuba picks us up right at the pier. The food is always good. Most importantly, the staff treats us like family. Theyā€™re very kind, attentive people. The rooms need some updating but for us itā€™s a very convenient location.

We came to this resort as a young couple, 1st time out of the country 25 years ago. Coming back was for nostalgia... wish we had not. It's not well upkept at all, and the few places is AC, were still so humid and sticky. The buffet is sad. The restaurant is quite good, however.

I canā€™t say enough good things about the staff at this property!! Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Rooms are very clean! Unfortunately, the facility itself is in need of serious updating. We loved being able to snorkel right at the resort and having the scuba shop on the property was very convenient. They do not have very many activities or entertainment- but the activity staff are great!! The food was tasty, but there are really only two restaurant choices. If you are looking for a relaxing low key vacation, this is a good option! That was the primary objective of our stay and it was a success!!

Been coming for years but most of the staff that i really got to know are gone now its like being around robots instead of friends. Property is getting ran down. Only thing they have is the beachfront is amazing. Snorkeling is amazing.

Tuvimos una mala experiencia con nuestra habitaciĆ³n pero lo solucionaron enseguida, cambiĆ”ndonos. La canciĆ³n de la bikina instrumental, suena todo el tiempo, a todas a horas, en todas las Ć”reas. No miento cuando digo que era una repeticiĆ³n infinita. DespuĆ©s del segundo dĆ­a, realmente se vuelve molesto. OjalĆ” pudieran hacer algo al respecto. En cuanto a las instalaciones y staff, todo fue muy bueno. Muy amables, serviciales y las instalaciones muy bellas con todas las actividades posibles disponibles y una playa pequeƱa pero hermosa y sĆŗper a gusto. VolverĆ­a solo si me aseguraran que cambiaron su playlist.

The food was good, people nice and beac was great. If they want to improve I would say some extra umbrellas by the beach and working on Cleaning the rooms more, it had a moldy smell and dirty sheets.
