"I like that this property is located just outside the chaos of town. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. Air conditioning worked wonderfully in our room. The free breakfast was a nice touch, albeit quite basic. The wifi, which was only available in the lobby, was basically non-existent. The shower had very little hot water. The room had a little bit of a run down vibe, but it was very spacious."

"A place for sleeping after a busy day joining the tour of the islands. Room is very basic with Aircon . WiFi is only available on certain areas of the property . Water heater didnt work . The water gets warm though during sunny days . The plus factor of the hotel is that it’s located on the city proper of coron so restaurants ,shops, laundromat are all within walking distance"

"We stayed three nights are El Rio Y Mar Resort and wish we could have stayed a week. This resort is hands down the best resort we have stayed at in the Philippines. It's very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Coron yet close enough that you can still do the island hopping tours and excursions. "this place is a dump, i have traveled to some back water villages that had better accommodations. the windows are broken, there is no screening on the windows. the linen are thread bare and dirty. The night table has not been wiped down and full of dust. the bathroom, is a hazard waiting to happen, the electric water heater with the plug in is right beside the shower head.
