There was a rat in the parking lot near the front entrance when we arrived, and the front doors were inoperative, and had signs directing use of side doors, carpeting in the hallways was stained and dirty looking, cracked and mildewed tile in the bathroom, I cancelled my stay for Saturday night 10-19-24, but was charged because it was not done before 11:00 am, I stayed that night a the Marriott Residence Inn-OSU, I was extremely disappointed with the Red Roof Inn, I have stayed in Red Roof inns in the past and never had a problem, I am surprised the company allows this franchise to use their name.

I went and checked in and as soon as we walked in the building there was an overwhelming smell of weed smell. Upon arriving in our room there were stains all over the bed as well as the curtains and the wall. When I went to use the restroom the toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. Do not recommend to anyone.

motel is run down, hallways are dirty, room hasn't been dusted in a long time, bathroom is in dyer need of reno, pictures on website are not valid, do not show present condition or true reflexion of the place. property adjoins another motel which has crackheads hoes and other questionables around.Had to get up through the night to check car was still there and not damaged. had booked 2 nights but left after 1. Spoke with woman manager about it ,they are well aware of their problems both their own and the problems not in their control from adjoining property. Would not give me a refund for 1 night. Beware of this place

Staff did their best, but the sink in bathroom could not empty water, the shower sprayed all over the place, the hallway carpets were stained dirty, the noisy refrigerator kept me awake during the night. Some of the furniture was decrepit; the back parking lot was dark and desperately needs lighting to discourage would be theives, etc. A bad experience, but I trust for the immigrant people who seem to be running the place that attention can be given to bring this facility to a higher rating. It certainly has a great location.

The room itself was ok about average for the price. At night it got pretty scary because of all the thugs and stuff around the hotel, and in the parking lot. They don't mention the $100 deposit when you purchase the room. It isn't until you get there do you find out. Will be staying at better hotels next visit to columbus.

Although smoking was not allowed, the place smelled like smoke. The he carpet was filthy. The hand towels and wash clothes were stained. The lampshade on the night stand was cracked and stained. I cleaned the air conditioner filter because the air coming out of the unit smelled. The filterokmedime it has not been waned in years. I ran the filter under the shower for about 10 minutes
