Feel Raped

Posted 18 Jul 2021 on Hotels
We were able to get in the room with good written instructions. It was me, my husband, and 2 grandchildren, ages 10 and 12. No instructions on locking the door when leaving. Had to spend a lot of time locking up to leave for an outing. When we opened the door the stench of cigarettes gave me a headache and was nauseating. I contacted the agency and the owner, neither were willing to do anything besides come and spray the apartment. The shower floor had mold on it. When the hideaway bed was out the front door wouldn't open as the bed lays in front of the door. The wooden blinds had been chewed by a dog or something. We stayed there one night and left. We should be compensated for the other 4 nights as we ended up having to find another place and they were not willing to refund us any of our money.

Prepare to be annoyed!!!

Posted 4 Jul 2021 on Hotels
The property was livable but old. Major problem with our stay was the bombardment of texts and emails stating the Draconian check out time penalties over and over and over again. Not worth enduring the bombardment. Stay somewhere else!

There was hardly anywhere to park. We had no hot water. It smelled old and musty. And they ask us to take off our shoes when inside and the floors were very dirty. On a plus note the location was within walking distance of downtown.

Oh my aching back

Posted 18 Jul 2020 on Hotels
The location is great but we had no hot or even warm water in the shower during our entire stay. Hot water worked in sinks so not an issue of the hot water heater. We rented the lower unit and it was quite noisy hearing guests walking around upstairs. Bed was very uncomfortable along with uncomfortable pillows. Couch equally uncomfortable to sleep on. Would not stay here again.

Cute, but small

Posted 1 Jul 2020 on Hotels
So, let me start with the pros: -Very close to the Manitou Springs main street...easy walking distance to the arcade, shopping, and restaurants. -Property was very clean and decor was very cute. -Loved the large shelf in the bathroom...big enough to hold all my toiletry bags. -We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was very helpful to have a freezer to make ice, and fridge to keep drinks cool. Cons: -Property is kind of on the small size. Thankfully, we only had three people and didn't require much space, but it was small. Hard to store luggage. -Beds both felt kind of fragile. -It is a first floor property, so there wasn't much natural light. -It was kind of hard to get to (driving-wise). The biggest negative for me was the property management. We booked prior to COVID-19, so we had to consider the possibility of cancelling or rescheduling our trip (which involved several different property stays) and this was the only location that gave us a hard time about possibly having to cancel. Considering the worldwide pandemic, I felt that they should have been a little bit more considerate and flexible with us. We still went on our trip and had a fantastic time...communication with the property management notwithstanding. I would recommend the property with the caveat that I hope you never have to contact the stubborn management team.

Clean and close to town.

The property was extremely clean and everything was brand new. The kitchen was well stocked and the location was super convenient to walk into Manitou. Everything was great the only thing we would’ve like to have is a coffee table and maybe a rug, it didn’t feel real cozy and we had to bring over the kitchen chairs to use as coffee tables near the sofa for our wine and cheese. Cute but shared

This is a great place to stay if you are traveling for business. I would not recommend for a couples retreat as it is a shared unit and the walls are thin so little privacy and sound buffers.
