Miguel looked after us 3 horse riding beginners very well - his patience and tuition was much appreciated along with Monica’s home cooking.

Just perfect! A wonderful getaway, hosted by the fantastic Monika and Miguel. Everything from the location to the food, the wine and the horse riding were exceptional. We wish we could have stayed forever.

Good, but...

A nice place to stay for a couple of nights and would recommend, but would note a few issues: - The owners and a mistake on hotels.com meaning we got a cheaper rate. There was some pressure from them on us to pay more than we had booked for. - Prices for the horse riding had increased by $20pp in the 2 months between making the booking and our stay. - Bed linen was almost threadbare in places. - They have two large dogs (to be expected on a property like this), but one is especially lively and jumpy which may make some people uncomfortable and /or disrupt your relaxation in the pretty and otherwise quiet grounds.

Dear Peter and Hazel, Thank you for taking time to write this comment. Nevertheless, I'd like to point a few issues: - There was no pressure from us to pay more than what you had expected. We just pointed out there was a mistake and showed you what the actual price was. Even when you knew what the price was, you took advantage of this mistake to pay a ridiculous price. You paid half price of the lowest price we have. - Concerning horse-riding we have explained that now we offer a different longer horse-ride which is obviously more expensive, but there was another choice of a riding lesson which was shorter for the same price.(even a bit cheaper) - We do have two boxer dogs which are very friendly and playful. One of them is a puppy full of energy. They have their own spacious green space where they are most of the day out of reach, separate from guests. We let them free when guests ask us to do so. Many people, who travel for a long time and miss pets, are delighted to be able to be with them. We apologize if they were disturbing you. We would have put them back in in their place if you would have told us they were disturbing you. - As for linen, I will check it, but we have recently bought new linen. All the best

Peaceful stay with wonderful hosts

Miguel and Monica are inviting hosts who make you feel comfortable at their home right away. We didn’t horseback ride, but the local area is nice to walk around and just enjoy nature. Home cooked dinners by Monica were very tasty, and Miguel gave great local recommendations for the rest of our Uruguay trip.

Très bon séjour dans cette estancia. Très bon accueil de Miguel et Monica. Possible de faire une demi journée de cheval. Endroit très calme et reposant
