The front & lobby of the hotel looks appealing, however inside is a different story. The room was dark and not cleaned properly. Only 1 lift was working and very small. Reception staff no form of welcoming guests or smiling. The hotel needs to keep up with maintenance and revamp the place up.

The staff was great. All very helpful from front desk to housekeeping. The room was spacious and comfortable. In room coffee, tea, refrigerator, and tv. Shower was good and hot. Breakfast buffet at additional charge was well appointed with local and western food selection. Hotel had a nice pool that was good since beach was a bit distant but walkable. There were many food places in easy walking from stores, bakeries, food stalls, and restaurants. Area was safe but always be careful. I could easily recommend the Sapphire for leisure, business, or family stays. One must always remember where they are and not compare to home hotles, especially chains. This is not a 5 star but was more than satisfactory for the price. One caveat which is not the fault of hotel; the crows in nearby trees were relentless in sqwaking. Traffic horns made for good competition in volume. Perhaps the hotel could replace windows with newer glass for sound barrier. Otherwise a very nice and well run hotel. I would stay again but ask for a room away from street.
