Unfortunately, I choose this hotel because of the pool and location. The pool was out of service, and we still paid full price for the stay no compensation. Secondly, they charged my credit card 3 times after I paid for the initial stay on Expedia ahead of time. Third, there was so many people there for college recruiting and weddings wish I would have known this ahead of time would have choose somewhere else. Hotel is not bad, just a bad time of year.

The hotel facilities are good : comfortable bed, nice bathroom amenities, good coffee / Illy coffee. However the staff are inexperienced and rude. The front desk lady made multiple mistakes and I had to go down to reception five times. I was accused of not checking in. In addition, the hotel requests you call for cleaning daily. Nobody picks up the front desk line and the staff have to be reminded many times.

The staff exhibited poor service and were inexperienced. I had booked a total of 5 nights, spilt into 1 night and then 4 nights. The front desk made me check out on the first day and check in again. Later during the day, they claimed I did not do so. They made repeated mistakes like giving me the key to another room, forgetting to swipe my credit card for the deposit. I had to go to the front desk 5 times before it was resolved. The hotel indicates you have to request for cleaning daily. Unfortunately nobody picked up the front desk line and there was no housekeeping line. Every day, one would have to call at least 5 times and remind the staff to clean the room.

There is a UM tour and info session starting point right in the lobby, so if you are here for College tour, this is perfect. Best hotel if you have business in University of Maryland. UM campus is huge and some other hotels in the area are not as walkable as it seems in the map. Loved the Iron skillet restaurant in lobby as well as the bagel place (long line tho)
