Was very nice but wasn’t what we expected. For the price of a one night stay we were very disappointed. We expected a lodge as described but more of a b&b. We did get an upgrade due to the shower not working. The one blind you could see in through the side from outside so we just used a blanket over to give us a bit more privacy. Staff was lovely but we were disappointed and probably won’t stay again.

The owner stated pizza and bar would be available but they were jot. In addition there was a lot of building work happening during our stay which ruined the tranquil surroundings.

Not a hotel/a room in someone’s home.

Firstly we could not find the hotel, there were no signs on the main road and when we drove down this stone lane which said foot path we come to a Grey wood hut and still no signs. When I found an open door and passed the bell and was greeted by a lady who I asked if I was in the right place. Thankfully it was and was greeted and taken to the upstairs to the room. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere in the room, shower and toilet, it’s ok if you like spiders. Has a roof Terrace which was nice and unexpected. No towels for guests. Complimentary breakfast and tea/coffee throughout the day for guests to help themselves. Overall was a nice stay but not a hotel it’s someone’s home.

Yep!! Not a hotel. I guess that's the issue. We advertise through a company called Expedia (which means I know not what) but you guys book through a site called Hotels. But most of them aren't - hotels that is. We are a B&B. And a Glamping site and a soon to be amazing treehouse site. But that would be a weird website address wouldn't it. notahotelbutb&bandglampingandtreehouse.com - phew!!! As the the BnB part, by definition it really is rooms in a house and a very nice light breakfast in the morning. We pride ourselves on being, err, what do we say?... Wild and Whacky Bed and Breakie. At least that how we are advertised on the Dome Garden site of which the Lodge Rooms are a small part. So what else... no signs on the road? That's us. because we have a glamping site of geodesic domes where people are sleeping in tents so we dont really advertise where we are. It's little secret...ssshhh... that only our guests know about. Spiders? Well we are surrounded on all sides by beautiful ,almost endless forest, 31,000 acres of it and we are literally right in it. Not near it or next to it but in it. Out the door turn right through the gate and there it is. So, yep, a few spiders here and there but also owls and boar and deer and bats overhead and so much birdsong in the morning it's a dawn chorus like no other. So if you are looking to come and immerse yourself in miles and miles of walking and mountain biking and canoeing and caving and sitting on the deck amidst the trees and the morning sun enjoying endless fresh coffee and tea and toast and scramble eggs then I guess, that's us... The Lodge Rooms!
