The Stirk House is an absolutely beauty. It’s located in a picturesque setting surrounded by fields and sheep. If you want a low key, peaceful country setting with an amazing staff and restaurant, you found it! We loved staying here and definitely plan to come back. Lots of room to roam, walking paths and countryside roads to explore. Also, plenty of free parking was very nice. 10 / 10

Lovely location and setting, all staff very friendly, excellent breakfast. Rooms need a little attention to detail, bathroom fan very week,remote control for tv had no back to it,which made it unreliable, wifi also a bit iffy, but overall a lovely stay.

Looks amazing from the outside, and beautifully warm, cosy, and luxurious on the inside., especially sat on the huge settees in front of the roaring log fires in the main lounge. Room was warm and spacious, with super king bed, settee, 2 TVs, large bathroom. All staff were polite and very friendly, and couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely stay again.

Listed building surrounded by beautiful countryside. With on site free parking. All the staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Which helped to make the stay even more enjoyable The buffet breakfast was excellent The only negative was the room was tired looking but it was very clean We will definitely stay again

The standard of customer service from arrival to departure was absolutely fantastic, every member of the staff we encountered were a delight & very welcoming. We stayed one night after being guests at a wedding, our room was lovely, the bed so comfy, and everything we needed was in the room. Quality breakfast. A very excellent stay. Beautiful building, tranquil setting, staff very pleasant and attentive. No local taxi service, asked for phone number of taxi and was given one in Clitheroe, when contacted taxi company quoted £15.00 to go a mile down the road.

Liked the room and the view from it. Didnt like the plastic flowers in public areas - It wouldnt have cost much to have had some real daffodils and spring flowers. The plastic flowers really degraded a fine old building and really lowered the standard!
