It was new and therefore carpets etc were new and clean, but the elevator was broken, leaving only one that worked and the broken one was in perpetual opening closing mode for over a day. The mattress on the pull out sofa was literally falling apart. It was no longer sewn together and you could remove the top from the bottom completely leaving the stuffing exposed. When we mentioned it to staff they said they couldn’t do anything about it at that time.

Sofa bed that was advertised was a small chair with ottoman, free continental breakfast that was advertised did not exist (not even morning coffee). The restaurant inside was poor service and very expensive. The menu advertised in the elevator did not exist. Never anyone at the lobby desk to ask. For 200 a night, it was not worth it AT ALL.

My family and I really enjoyed the promptness of the staff if you had an issue. You could tell that the Hotel was a little understaffed which led to some of the unsanitary issues that we encountered and the upkeep of the facilities but all in all it was a good experience.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Elyria for 12 Days. During that time we saw the maid ONCE, and that was the day before we were checking out. I went to the front desk four times asking if they could clean my room. I was assured someone would be there, NEVER HAPPENED. I would go every night to the desk and ask for clean towels. After the fifth day I asked for clean linen and towels so WE could change the sheets and have clean towels. I would take out our trash everyday. Also the shower backed up one night. The next morning I went to the front desk asked for the room to be cleaned and the shower problem to be fixed. I was assured it would be taken care of. NEVER HAPPENED! I guess we should have moved to another room or just checked out, but we felt that maybe it was just us. But the situation never improved. The only service we received was LIP SERVICE!!!

Tucked behind a mall, its nice a quiet and the hotel is really nice. I did have an issue with my card to get into my room. After the first initial try, i did get in my room, soon i was locked out. Then i try to get it reprogrammed and get a dupe key, but the OG key still doesn’t work. Then I leave my key in the room but had the OG key in my pocket. Doesnt work again (my fault for leaving the dupe that actually works in the room) but what the facility worker told me is that the attendants didnt really redo the key properly and that the door works just fine. Other than the key stuff the staff seemed pretty cool and they accompany you just fine. Bed was reaaaaally comfy and clean.

Our son was graduating Oberlin College in nearby Oberlin, Ohio. This hotel is very convenient if you cannot stay in Oberlin itself. We have stayed here on multiple occasions over the last 5 years. It is only 12 miles and 15 minutes from Oberlin. The staff was very friendly. Overall, the hotel is nice and clean, however, they still do not offer any daily room service, trash pick-up, or wellness checks. This started during Covid, but Covid is long since over. We had to empty our trash and go downstairs for toiletry refills. Some of the furniture and carpeting is starting to show its age.
