Terrible and room full of bed bugs

The bed was so uncomfortable, the springs are poking through the mattress. To top it off the room and bed is full of bed bugs, I woke up every morning with bites on my legs and my partner had 7 bites all over his face. See previous comments from guests who suffered the bed bugs and shared images of them. Terrible and disgusting. The rooms need deep cleaning. Be warned

Very rude lady. beds extremely uncomfortable springs poking through sheets stained with mold. No toilet roll. No heating and no extra blankets. Very damp. Plus a surcharge for breakfast yet when I booked breakfast included.

We’re very sorry about your experience at our guesthouse but going through your complaint I do not think we would have been able to satisfy your need regarding the bed issues cos of the size of one of you , it would have been easier to book separate rooms, one of you want the room to be cold one likes room to be hot, extra blankets was offered you both refused yet there was a spare blanket on the spare bed for anyone who wishes to use a blanket, and as for breakfast it is not included in the price of the room, breakfast is usually booked and pay for at the guesthouse , it would have been very helpful if you read all the policies properly while making your bookings and not just assumed

We booked on Expedia got all the usually text and email confirmation on arrival at MJ GUESTHOUSE we got approached by a rude woman called Mary. Who refused to even let us enter the doorway after a 2 hour drive anyway I explained we had a double room booked she said there’s no bookings I tried to explain I’ve all the evidence etc bank statements emails texts she said IM NOT INTERESTED WHAT YOU HAVE THAT MEANS NOTHING TO ME YOU HAVE NOT PAID and slammed the door in my face! After knocking again and she came back to the door and said WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW ? I said omg your really rude ! Which she replied I don’t care and gave me the number to ring the owner which was a foreign lady and she was even ruder ! Our holiday spoiled in 15 minutes we were so shocked and upset that we got back in the car and drove straight back home. Unbelievable customer service from a so called bed and breakfast ! Never again I hope people read this and take notice I’m still trying to get a refund through Expedia for this monstrosity of a place. -10/10

Lee this is not a medium for complaining this is actually for guests that have stayed at the property You booked for one person and you’re claiming is for 2pple we tried to explain to you but you either didn’t understand or refused to understand that is the main reason we have to refuse you a checkin and you were advised to cancel the booking and you were told to ring Expedia to claim your refund you have not paid the guesthouse directly you have paid Expedia so claim your refund from them

I do like to be beside the seaside

It was only a short break so there's not much to go on and CORVID19 made things difficult I had my own toilet next to my room I would like to have a outside lock to stop anyone else use it the guest house was will run and clean however the lady running it worked hard and could have done with help at breakfast time

A lovely hotel. Lovely people who own the hotel......a very comfortable room. Loved the little touches too eg...nice toiletries and slippers to use. A fabulous sea view from our room (room 4 ) Thank you

Great bedroom, good location, broken shower

We stayed for a few days. Close to the seafront and cleethorpes pubs. Room was really lovely and clean. The shower was shared and didn’t work at all which was a shame!

Overnight stay for Football.

Overnight stay prior to Grimsby Town v Swindon Town (A 3-0 away win made this a great weekend). The Guest House is very close to both the Railway Station and the town with its friendly locals and good Sea Front, Pubs, Restaurants and Cafes. The (Family) room was spacious with a comfortable bed, nice shower and decent size TV. Nice Lady let me in and everything was easy thereafter.
