The rooms were luxurious and comfortable, a shout out goes to Lazea who whent above and beyond with customer service ensuring that my stay exceeded all expectations

My husband and I were here on our honeymoon and were very disappointed with our experience at The Mayfair Townhouse. Upon arrival there were multiple people working but no-one offered to help with baggage or opening the door (probably stupid thing to comment on but considering it is a "luxury" hotel, would've thought this would happen). Check in was fast but we had no help brining our bags up and the corridors are tiny so this was a little difficult. The room was also not great. (*Not blaming the hotel for this as this is the room we chose, but making the comment so others know). It was a lot smaller than described & shown in pictures, and wasn't updated. The shower leaked anytime you used it since the door was not flush with the tub which was annoying. The location of the hotel is great and you have a short walk to the tube & sights, which was pretty much the only positive to this hotel. The hotel staff was also unkind. At every interaction we had with them, they visibly showed signs of being putt out to help, to greet, and to offer assistance. We felt like a huge bother just being near any staff here (we asked for turndown service one night, and to have a taxi called for us to the airport, otherwise we made no other requests). If you're looking for a hotel that is close to a lot, then this is it. If you're expecting anything else from this hotel, go elsewhere. Was overall very disappointed and will not be back & cannot recommend. Cannot recommend at all.
