The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views.
The rooms were nice but not special.

Location on the river and scenery were lovely. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, however could do with having tea and coffee making facilities in them and also having an iron and ironing board available (the reception said they did not have any at the hotel!).

Lovely hotel with lovely staff in lovely location.
Excellent views from room, outdoor and indoor restaurants and pool area.
Beatrice and Juliana were particularly helpful.

Great hotel with a superb location

The hotel staff was absolutely amazing !
Manuela made our trip , she was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to help us get to the hotel , emailing us train info , contacting a cab to pick us up at the train .
The day we wanted to tour the area she once again organized transportation and recommendations for the area .
Her English was perfect ( very helpful for the Americans)
The view from this property where
gorgeous ! The weather was a bit cool so we didn’t get to use the pool but it couldn’t have looked more lovely.
Great food and great service.
We will be back

Lovely position, all rooms have a view over the river. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Would stay again if in area.
