Dusi a beautiful beachfront location, but it falls short of 5-star expectations. The standout feature is the amazing staff, who are always helpful, smiling, and attentive, greatly enhancing the overall experience. The Club Rooms are nice, comfortable, and well-serviced, though they need some renovation soon. However, the absence of a coffee machine in the Club Rooms seems strange by today's standards, especially with only instant coffee and a thermos(!) provided. (Comical update: After this review was published, and just two days before our departure, the coffee machine was finally delivered to our room—but without a single coffee pod, either paid or complimentary.)
The Club benefits are significantly below standard compared to other clubs I've experienced, and the breakfast, while nice, is limited. The Club lounge has no air-conditioned space, making it questionable to enjoy drinking alcohol in tropical 35°C temperatures. Additionally, the smoking policy is outdated, allowing people to smoke everywhere outside, which often results in needing to sit near smokers in the pool area or on the Club balcony. The Club experience is so much below other hotels and resorts that it is not worth paying extra for it here.
Poolside service strangely is not available at all, but you can visit the cafe near the pool or purchase beverages from the local vendor operating on the beach outside the resort's boundaries. Please note that the poolside towels are extremely old and have numerous ho

In the lap of luxury in a dream paradise
Posted 23 May 2024 on HotelsDusit Thani is definitely above the market standards for Phuket, yet quite reasonably priced (we came off season).
Our net-based hotel booking service made a significant error but, despite understandably sticking to its advertised no-refund policy, the hotel came up with a solution that was very acceptable to us and gave us a better holiday than we could have hoped for.
The included breakfast was world class and exceptional variety.
It is the staff that make or break a resort, and the staff here are well selected and well trained.
The resort opens into a 6km beach, with other resorts in both directions. But ours was cleanest, no rubbish in the sand even after a storm.
Dusit Thani is some distance from the major tourist attractions, but that makes the area safer to walk. And taxis are a small cost to pay for staying in a quiet safe area.
Highly recommended.
