Meraviglioso
Posted 28 Apr 2024 on HotelsPosto immerso nel verde e molto curato. Il podere è meraviglioso. Proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Posizione molto comoda per visitare la Val D’Orcia e i dintorni. Siamo stati bene e consigliamo questo posto al 100%

Owners are great! They make you feel like you are home, place is lovely and my only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay and enjoy the pool.

We spent 4 nights at Al Giardino degli Etruschi in mid-May 2019 and really enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts Carolina and Paolo are a cheerful and energetic couple and we were welcomed with a plate of home-baked cookies in our room and fresh flowers from the garden in a vase on the dresser. Carolina is an excellent baker and each morning at breakfast we had several types of freshly baked cakes, croissants, cereal and fruit.
The location of the B&B was amazing - although it's just off the road leading to Chiusi and therefore convenient to get to, it has a quiet and secluded feel, with abundant gardens and a classic Tuscan country house. The room was bright, spacious and clean with a modern shower stall and the bed was very comfortable.
Carolina is an engaging conversationalist and was extremely helpful, suggesting places for us to visit, and went out of her way to give us rides to the nearby (outstanding!) restaurant La Locanda delle Scuderie and to the train station, once we had returned our rental car.
Chiusi proved to be an ideal location from which to make day trips to several towns in Tuscany and Umbria. It's also situated on the railway line - a big factor in our looking for accomodation there. We could return our rental car in town and take the train on to Venice.
This was the most charming location during our 3 weeks in Italy, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we were to return to Tuscany or Umbria.

Tuscan B&B near Chiusi
Posted 2 May 2018
Pros: Rural charm (we liked the herd of goats and the geese), friendly hostess
Cons: Maybe cooperation with the nearby restaurant that would benefit both?
Location: On a small hilltop next to a rural highway. Small borgo on the other side of the highway. Deer in fields spotted on walk to neighboring restaurant.
Stayed here on our tour of Tuscany by train and bus to see some of Etruscan culture. Chiusi was one of our destinations and this B&B allowed us a quiet time in the countryside when we were not in town. Carolina was a charming hostess and was willing to give us a ride in when she could, though we needed a taxi to return. We were also pleased to find a charming restaurant in the borgo nearby, La Locanda delle Scuderi, where we could walk for haut cuisine in the former church stables.
