Must-stay place if you drive

Even the morning was cloudy and overwhelmed with fogs, the view was spectacular with view of 'Abbaye de San Galgano'.
The breakfast buffet was also more than delicious. Specifically, the salamis were cut from the staffs, not those bought from manufactured products, which also tasted great.
The person who helped our check-in and -out was the only person fluent in English, but you can conversate with other staffs with no problem using your body language, don't worry about this.

Pre-wedding visit

Booked the hotel as a pre wedding visit, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
The food in the restaurant is exceptional, really recommend eating here during your stay.
We was lucky enough to view a large handful of the rooms, and they was all lovely.
Overall could not recommend enough and I can’t wait to bring my guests here in May

We're so happy that you've enjoyed our place and our facilities, indeed we are use to offer a tasting dinner to our future sposes, in order to let choose the best options in advance.
It's also pleasant to know that you found our rooms so lovely, most of them were renovated during the last winter, keeping the original Tuscan features, they will be perfect to accomodate your guests, infact our Superior and Standard Double rooms can be occupied by 2 or 3 people, our biggest apartments (some of them with private backyard) can accomodate 2 to 6 people each.

Our daughter is getting married here in May 22 and we went for quick visit.
We can’t believe how lucky we are to be holding such a special day in such a special place.

The Perfect Place to Stay in Tuscany!

The entire experience was first rate. We want to and will come back and stay here again. What a fantastic establishment. Highly recommend!!!

Peaceful, with Modern Rooms
Posted 7 Jun 2019 on HotelsThe grounds are lovely and peaceful, the rooms are fully renovated and modern, with very good build quality (for example, the shower enclosure is large, with a premium showerhead). The café is nice to grab a snack at.
One note: the side door is open for guests who return to their rooms after the restaurant closes, but you have to WRENCH the key clockwise to open the door. I struggled with it for 10 minutes before I got in! Learn from me :)
One other thing of note: this is definitely a driving destination, as the only public transport available is a once-a-day bus to Siena that passes by at 6:52am.

Average hotel, no frills, remote, need a car
Posted 20 Sep 2016Although the hotel is clean and pleasant, it is run more like a restaurant which has a few rooms upstairs. It is very relaxed and the staff often appear grumpy and unhelpful. There are however one or two staff members who are willing to help. The reception staff gave my passport back to another couple staying at the hotel to pass onto me which I was very unhappy about, in my opinion this is careless behaviour with somebody's private and important documentation. The breakfast was ok but not amazing in terms of selection. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is in the middle of rolling fields therefore I would recommend a car to get yourself about, there is no local taxi service, the nearest is in Siena (which will cost you a min of €60 to hire. The walls in the hotel rooms are thin and you can hear a lot of movement throughout the hotel.

Hotel cancelled our booking on the day of arrival

Cons: Reliability
The hotel cancelled the booking on the day of arrival. First they said it was due to plumbing issue, second call from Expedia Customer service they said it was because of electricity issue... The only reason is that they overbooked the venue because of a wedding taking place on that weekend. The hotel was fully operational and all rooms filled.
