It is helpful for guests to provide feedback when leaving a 1 star review so that we can improve, but we remember this guest specifically. I would like to address the reasons they left us a 1 star review. 1. This guest wanted a refund after their first night because they said they were bored and because the National Park was closed. The park is not closed and was not closed during their stay. The road to Rim Village was open, along with the Rim Village Cafe, and snowshoe tours were going on as well.2. When we reminded this guest of our early check out policy, they then insisted that they had no hot water. They then demanded a refund again and left. Our maintenance and housekeeping managers quickly went to the cabin to check on the hot water issue and there was absolutely no lack of hot water.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clear up this review.

We stayed in the sleeps-6 cabin, small, cozy and cute. Good heating, jacuzzi was ready to go. Mostly everything was in order though one blind was not working (a thoughtful apology posted on the blind), and we had trouble convincing the oven to stay on, kept cutting off. Resort grounds are lovely, nice but short trail around with not so many neighbors in November, but we wish there were places walking distance to hike further. Store open 12-5 only which isn’t convenient but you just need to stock up in Klamath falls and you’re good. Wi-Fi was god awful, no cell service so expect to be mostly off the grid unless your cabin is immediately next to the store where the Wi-Fi router is located.

Hello and thank you for the review. Thanks for letting us know about the oven. We will look into it immediately! Our store is currently only open 12 to 5 because it's our slow season and we don't have as many guests and customers, but there is a grocery store just 10 miles up the road. :) Unfortunately we currently have the best wifi we can get in the area, but we are in the process of getting Starlink! Safe travels!

Pros: Room was quiet, and check-in was easy. Thank you for the communication prior to check-in, and for leaving our room info on the bulletin board.
Cons: We woke up to a mouse crawling around the room, in the middle of the night. Being the middle of the woods, we understood that things happen.. let him outside and went back to sleep. The thing that was very inconvenient was that the light switch in the restroom would turn off after about 20-30 seconds of no movement. This made going to the restroom very difficult, as the switch was far away from the toilet. I sat in pitch darkness while I waited for my husband to come in and turn the light back on.
All in all, the place is good in a pinch, but I’d look for something else if we go back to the area.

The day before our visit. They sent me an email that showed that the area was having a blizzard. 20 inches of blowing snow 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 50 mph. Then they said no matter the weather we DO NOT GIVE refunds. Summary we don’t care if you die trying to get here but we will NOT give refunds due to weather. It was my mistake so I recommend to never book them from October to May because they WILL NOT give you a refund due to weather. Greedy and don’t care if their customer dies literally!

Richard, I can assure you we care deeply about life and the lives of our guests in general. And we definitely would care if someone died. Your review is actually very disheartening and offensive. Expedia sent you an automated email with a link to road conditions. This is always a prediction made by Tripcheck. The weather you are speaking of never made it to our resort. In addition, you made this reservation through Expedia, so the cancellation policy is an Expedia policy, not ours. Although, it is clear in our polices as well, that we do not offer refunds within 14 days of the reservation - weather related or not. But, we are more than happy to change reservations or offer credits up to 1 year. We are located in the mountains, in close proximity to one of the snowiest places in the country, which makes our resort very special. Booking in the winter comes with the chance of snow, which is why people stay with us. It unfortunate you didn't give us a chance.

We LOVED our stay at this property! We arrived late, after hours. But, we easily found our cabin information and code at the checkin area. The cabin itself was the perfect size for 4 of us. Very cozy. It was cold (October 2024) so we turned up the heat and were warm in no time. The bed was the best bed we've had while on vacation in a very long time!! Very comfortable. They had nice little touches such as beautiful photos on the walls of the Crater Lake, dishes and a dishwasher, small deck area with an ourtdoor table/grill if needed, etc.. It was the off season so the property was quiet, but we were able to walk around during the day and enjoyed what we did see and do. My only complaint is that wifi was spotty and the little on site store they had was expensive. But, it was also nice to be off phones and enjoy nature anyway, and we expected the store to be pricey ahead of time. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property!

I was looking to spend a quiet weekend near Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake Resort fit that requirement. Located a short distance from the lake in a quiet beautiful setting. They offer varied lodgings from tent spaces to a more "home" setting. Set next to a small river and with a large outdoor space to enjoy quiet reading or lively cooking. Checkin was a breeze and staff were nice and friendly. They gave good recommendations for local amenities. I would definitely stay again.
