My husband and I have stayed at many Chicago hotels. Sofitel is my favorite.

Definitely a nice elegant place. However, lacks diversity, a bit uncomfortable setting and staff was at times rude/unfriendly

Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good walkable downtown area. Lots of shops and restaurants.

One particular registration clerk completely ignored my presence standing at registration counter. Standing patiently , quietly, no eye contact by the employee, no one else at counter then another guest walks up, immediately addressed their presence. Very disrespectful
