The 2 men at the desk told me there was a nothing available after I showed them my booking records. They took my information and complained that I booked through Expedia and their systems were in transition. I asked for a recommendation and was told, "this isn't the Wyatt or Hilton anymore, good luck."
I was frustrated, but the more senior man told me there was nothing they could do and then started telling me about his husband that was dying of cancer so I shouldn't complain. His neanderthal compadre suggested I call management and maybe they'd give you a free room.
This was a painful experience. I ended up staying at the Felix downtown.

This is a basic, clean hotel in the middle of a very busy area. Lots of shopping, places to eat, and noise during night. It was difficult to sleep due to noise, there are ear plugs provided in bedside table. Fair price for value. I would look to stay in a hotel with more sound proofing next time I am in Chicago.
