Really close to everything and short walk to grand park and wonderful restaurants

This is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Between stepping on a nail in the floor where the carpet had been destroyed, to the train rumbling all night and shaking the windows, to the place smelling like vomit and BO everywhere, to the carpets being sticky, to the mattress being awful, to the loud noises that started constantly at 6 AM in the hotel, to eventually changing rooms, to the worst staff ever - who denied that anyone has ever mentioned hearing the train - only to hear from the supervisor that yes, you can hear the train in every room, to having no help with luggage, rude valet who took forever, to being harassed by loiterers as I wait for my car because they wants me to by them a room for the week.... this was by far the worst travel experience of my life and hope no one stays here. Worst ever. Congrats

Did you report when you stepped on the nail in the room to front desk or security so we can fill out an incident report? Also for the noise of the trains we apologize on our behalf however that is out of our control the only thing we can offer in cases like this is a room switch. However I remember speaking with you and we did offer compensation of one night parking for the inconveniences you've experienced while staying with us. I have made a notation of the issues you've expressed and will be passing this information over to upper management to review. Overall we hope you had a safe flight going back home.

me and my 2 kids got there and our room had heavy smoke smell, i dont even think they swap bedding because the smell was also really attached to the bedding, i called the front desk and their answere was that if i dont like the smell they could give me another room even though i upgraded and payed more to get a high corner room, they said someone was gonna be there to sprey somenting but no one showed up, then i asked to get the room done by the housekeeping and change the bedding to get rid of the smell and again nobodie changed it until our 3rd day and guess what, they clean the room but left the same smelly bedding, this is the first time something like this happens on a homewood hotel, they are always super clean,

Our third time staying here. Love the proximity to the “L” and Michigan ave / museum campus. Starting to show some wear and tear. Had to switch rooms because the wallpaper was peeling and mold seen behind. Hot tub needs a deep clean. Staff seem burnt out and don’t answer the phone. Hate how the breakfast is all styrofoam and plastic. Shower pressure is not consistent. Overall the room size and view is worth the complaints listed above.

Overall, our stay is comfortable for us who just need a place to rest for our long travel. the milleneum park is walkable and public parking areas are nearby too.
