Authentic Georgian hotel

Posted 1 Nov 2018 on Hotels
Hotel Firosmani is located just outskirts of the Chiatura city without English signs for the hotel. The area is known for the industrial decline and relics from Stalins USSR. You cannot expect much from this area in cleanliness. The hotel is 10min walking distance from main square with 2 Stalins condolas (scared to ride?) to scenic views. The hotel owner speaks Russian and hardly any English, so better to bring your dictionary with you. The internet works and you will get good nights sleep there. As long as you like the authentic old style hotel from communist era without many extra comforts, this is choice for you.

החדר גדול ומרווח אך המיטות לא נוחות בכלל המצעים מיושנים מאוד ובאחת המיטות השמיכה היתה מלוכלכת, המארח היה חביב מאוד המקום מוקף בהרים הנוף יפה

Nice hostel to stay on chiatura

Posted 29 Aug 2018
We stayed one night to visit this little mining town and see old cable cars. The hotel staff is very nice and speek english. It's the best stay to discover this town where the time seems to have stopped 40 years ago. It was very clean and they were very friendly ans helpful. And even offered us homemade Chacha. We had Dinner there and really highly reccommend it! Thanks !!!

Best in test!

Pros: Atmosphere and the staff
Cons: Sign towards the street.
Archil and the rest of the staff made us feel like at home with their warm welcome and the amazing food. The facilities are good and the beds are big. The hotel is a bit hidden, however, it is located 10 min away from the monastery Mgvimevi, as well as the center of town. I will for sure stay here next time I m in chiatura.
