Room & hotel was very cold. Maintenence attended the room after call to reception. But told because it was underfloor heat it will take 3 - 4hours to warm up. Waiting for service at the bar, was asked if I was with the wedding, when I replied yes I was refused service at the bar and told to go to the bar in the wedding. This I did,however, it was three deep so I went back to the previous bar who again refused to served me. Despite protesting that I was also a resident. I asked for a Manager to be called and a conversation was had between two employees and I was eventually served.

Hello, SimonThank you for taking the time to leave a review.Please be rest assured the underfloor heating was turned on during the period of stay, however we do appreciate it's a gradual process and the rooms won't instantly be extremely warm. We could also have provided an additional heater for your room, upon request. Sorry if this wasn't offered to you. Furthermore, as discussed on departure, I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by the situation of trying to order a beverage at the Orangery bar. I do completely understand you were a resident of the hotel, and I certainly don't think we should have refused service if this was the case. Although, from our perspective, the wedding guests have a bar in the function room to utilise and we try to separate those guests from others who stay for leisure/business. We do understand if there's a turn around of the function rooms. i.e during wedding breakfast etc this cannot be avoided and in this instance it would be fine to order from the Orangery bar.We are sorry to hear you felt unsatisfied with the service received from our team. checked in and was given an aledged executive room in the older part of the hotel . The whole area was really cold and dated and was part of a wedding party and the room was not the best as really cold and a window that was in need of a refurb. To be fair room was changed to the newer part once metnioned so that helped. Bar in that side was not best either with running out of products ie fresh orange and serving warm drinks to start off with

Directions supplied were wrong gave junction 31 should have been junction 30. Sink was blocked and door falling off. Otherwise room was excellent as was the food.

We had our wedding reception in the original part of the hotel in 1971, so we went down memory lane. Saturday night's Motown entertainment as great 👍
