It was nice to have the lobby staffed 24 hours a day and to offer coffee and hot tea. Everyone during the check-in and check-out process was extremely friendly. The property was exceptionally quiet and our room was very clean. My only complaint would be that we were told upon check-in that the cleaning staff would not be available during our weekend stay and to call or come to the main lobby if we needed anything in our room such as extra towels, soap, etc. This would have been fine except for the fact that a member of the cleaning staff beat loudly on our door the morning of check-out when we were still in bed sleeping. We had over an hour for our official check-out time which was 11:00 am according to hotel regulations. Not the mention, this staff member tried to open our door so I'm glad we had the safey lock securely on so she couldn't fully open the door. There was no "Do Not Disturb" card provided to place outside the door. I'm not trying to blow this out of proportion; however, it was annoying, escpecially since we didn't see any cleaning staff the entire weekend except the morning of check-out. All things considered, we had a great stay and I definitely recommend the Great Smokies Inn when traveling to Cherokee. Another plus is that it's just a short drive to Harrah's Casino.

This place was absolutely wonderful. From the customer service to the comfy bed it exceeded my expectations. I could walk to restaurants, shopping. Close to main roads but off the busy roads so it was very quiet. Beautiful location. Will definitely go here again.
