The breakfast was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Communicating in English was ok at best.
Location is good. Many places are a 15-20 min walk and metro is less than 10 minutes. Although there aren’t many great dining options immediately nearby, the Japanese restaurant inside is ok.

I was upgraded to a luxury room with a view of the famous Jin river. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. Taking a bath or shower in the enormous bathroom was a treat. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast they served—wide range of choices. The staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. I got to stay at this fantastic hotel at a very reasonable rate. I will certainly stay at Sofitel Chengdu again.
