Ups and Downs
Posted 10 Aug 2017 on HotelsAfter having gotten lost trying to locate our last two riad, we had the staff from our last place call over to Riad Antek for a guide when we got there (this is not unusual, the medina streets are frequently maze like and often not well marked), the staff assured us some one would meet us at a nearby hotel and we should call when got there. I spent about $10 calling on international roaming. Then 20 waiting. Then a half hour walking and getting lost till we got in. The room we were shown had a 5 foot ceiling. Yes, really. My husband is six feet tall. Luckily we were relocated to a room with a nice high ceiling for free and after the initial unpleasantness, the rest of our stay was nice. The rooftop terrace was lovely and the female members of the staff were delightful! Breakfast was tasty and the power only went off a couple of times.

Amazing terrace view
Posted 15 Apr 2017This hotel has the most amazing rooftop terrace view and even breakfast served there as well. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was the tiny bathroom with shower head/faucet but no stall. Also, the "sofa bed" is not a pull out sofa but rather a sofa that you sleep on top of. My 3 friends and I stayed in a room with one double bed and a sofa that fit two people. The showering situation was an experience to remember since we had to be very careful not to spray water on the toilet and out the bathroom doorway which was just a curtain. We made it work for a one night stay, and the breakfast provided on rooftop made it very near excellent! I suggest that you only take a backpack, since you must walk uphill on a small stone walkway to reach this hotel. The view will be worth it.

Unik opplevelse
