The hotel needs a good upgrade with everything, from front desk staffs to housekeepers. Most of their staffs don’t speak Thai and their English is quite poor and it makes it really hard to communicate with them.
I booked the accommodation with breakfast included on the website and when I clicked and paid the breakfast had disappeared from my booking. During our stay there were other guests had the same issues with their breakfast not included. It seems to me there must be some miscommunications between Expedia website and the hotel.
Regardless the resort hotel issues, I still wanted to acknowledged that the chef was amazing to us during our stay, she made some the amazing traditional Thai dishes for us everyday. Thank you Chef Sukawadee!!

Special shout-out to Sharron, Tear and Saang for their kindness and excellent service! From expediting our room after a whole night of travel to their warm and friendly, eager to assist manner throughout our stay, these staff are really an asset to the resort. The location and amenities by the beach and the heart of Chaweng are amazing. 11/10 would stay here again even if the room and decor could do with a bit of upgrading.

Second stay at the resort and this time very disappointing, checked into a standard Villa and noticed early evening that there was no hot water in the bathroom, went to reception to complain and was told and quote 'You not pay enough money for hot water',now after paying £1000:00 (37:000:00 baht) for a 14 night stay I think I have paid enough money so the solution was to boil a kettle to have a wet shave every evening which I found very frustrating,I also broke an ashtray in the room and the resort tried to charge me for it,accidents happen but it seems this resort don't care about looking after there guests at all which is a real pity as it is a quiet good resort right in the middle of stunning Chaweng beach but the staff attitude I found very rude and with the hot water situation l not be back.

Dear guest,
Thank you for your comment. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the negative experiences you had with our guest service agent.
I have investigated your case as soon as I received your comment. I realize that our agent was unhelpful in solving your issue. Your room has hot water only at the shower, but we also have other rooms with hot water both at the shower and at the sink. She should have changed the room for you. Her failure to do so has caused you a lot of inconveniences.
About the broken ashtray, it is a routine practice that the room maid will inform guests regarding broken or missing items by putting a charge slip in the room.
The reception staff will see if it is appropriate to charge the guest or not. We usually waive the charge in case of accident. However, I understand your even greater frustration when you saw the charge slip in your room. It seemed like we have let you down again and for that I am very sorry.
I have reviewed your case with the staff at the reception. They asked me to convey to you their sincere apology for all the unpleasant situation they have caused you. They did not intend to be rude. Each staff has different proficiency in English. This can make the situation even more frustrating.
I would like you to know that we, at Chaweng Buri Resort, care very much about our guests. As you travel a long distance to be at our place and you choose us to be your "home away from home", we must strive to do the best for you.
I want to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We always look for ways to better our service and your feedback is an invaluable part of that process.
I'm going to hold a revision session with the staff, to make sure that the situation does not repeat itself.
Sincerely,
Sittiphan Trangkasombat

This was a weird one, it seems to be almost guest free! I think it’s due to close for refurbishment of the grounds. The room itself was very nice. When I arrived I phoned up room service and after saying my order the operator hung up. I rang back and they said we have your order and hung up again! They told me to leave the plate outside for collection. They didn’t collect it and the next night I took it back myself. The day I checked out I left my luggage at reception who were friendly. I came back an hour later and the security wouldn’t let me go to the pool area. Overall not great grounds or majority of staff but nice room!

Pros: An oasis in the heart of Chaweng with nice personal bungalows to stay in with very helpful friendly staff.
Cons: The only issues I had was in the bathroom which does not have enough lighting and the water temperture is very inconsistant.
Location: Right in the heart of Chaweng with many restaurants and bars nearby,we found the Food Night Market very good value which is a 5 minute walk away.
Resort in the heart of Chaweng beach but very peaceful and quiet, the beach is truly stunning, the reception staff were very welcoming and would help with any issues,I found the staff working on the beach front of the hotel at first quite rude but once they realized I was staying at the resort there attitude changed and became friendly and helpful, the main issue being in that the resort hires out the sunlounger's to the passing public so it took the staff a few days to realize I was a guest so didn't have to pay a fee for the sunlounger, the breakfast was good with plenty of different choices,I enjoyed my stay at ChawengBuri so much that after 14 nights I booked a further 4 nights as we found the resort just so relaxing.

great location between chaweng mall and beach but hotel facilities worn down. It looks and feels like it has not been renovated in the last 20 years. One wing of the bungalow section is closes off because they are doing construction but it looks like that stopped a few years ago. Staff friendly. Breakfast very minimalistic. Bring mosquito spray for your room - lots of it.
