Lovley but confusing check-in
Posted 30 Jun 2023 on HotelsWhen we arrived, the two young ladies on reception (one on Ibis, one on Ibis Budget) both insisted that I needed to have a sheet of paper to be able to check in. (Bond du something). The booking number or my noame were worthless. Gallic shrugs all round.
Eventually, I said I had not booked as a package with our Futuroscope tickets, and smiles and dcomprehension dawned, our number was looked up, my name was there.
Really, these receptionists should not assume everyone has booked a Futuroscope package. I only realised those were available after booking the hotel. I would have printed out everything I was sent, so was mystified that a non-existent piece of paper was vital. This was very upsetting after a long drive, to think we had nowhere to sleep!
After that, all was perfect.
