Cute hotel close to many things in Charlottesville. The staff was very friendly. Good, free breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was welcoming, theroom was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner/heater was quite the breakfast was better than most places. The hotel is currently having renovations.and the pool was not available for use. I would stay again.

As a traveling health care worker I try and find a quiet place. This place advertised sous proofing, I beg to differ. I had to attempt to sleep with my head phones on. You can imagine how restful that was. This place is dog friendly, well thats true. Except the dogs barked all evening, finally stopped close to midnight. As a traveling worker I do not suggest this place for a restful night sleep

There was interior painting going on, and the smell was overwhelming. We were not informed of this beforehand. I am allergic to latex paint, so we had to change hotels or end up in the hospital.

I have been coming to the English in for a few years now a couple of times a year. Do renovations have helped improve the appearance. There are still a few rooms need to be done but overall I’ve been very pleased with my visits.

It was a great stay outside of the phone didn’t work in our room when I tried to contact the front desk and once I did in regard to getting towels I was told I needed to come to front desk and pick them up they don’t bring them to you. We stayed for the pool and gym but when we got there they where doing construction and pool was closed but that wasn’t stated when we booked the room online. Over all though it was a nice hotel

I had a very pleasant stay the staff were very accommodating and they let me check in early with no extra charge The room was very clean The coffee and tea stands were very welcoming and generous and also the tea and cake from 4-6 was very enjoyable I will definitely be staying there again
