Location was good and fire pit I did like but overall for the money If visiting family may try different place next visit. Not a typical Hilton

I like the location however although it’s new it’s not had very good maintenance. We had ants our 1st visit; gave them another opportunity. Second room didn’t have as much wear and tear in December. The holiday decorations were nice but no access to good snack food or drinks(like Drury). They have breakfast but only ate grits as it didn’t look fresh. Outdoor had trash in grass; liquor bottles. Lots of transient workers staying there.

Reserved a room with two queens beds for a friend and I. We are both married to women, so we weren’t looking to cuddle up with each other or any of that nonsense. Counter person informed us that they had no two queen bed rooms available, only king bed rooms. I explained we needed two beds as we aren’t “that good of friends”, we’re heterosexual males married to women. Old school, ya know. Told him he could give us the room I reserved and give that king bed BS to the next sucka that walked in the door. He tapped and tapped away on his keyboard, glowered at it, took his time and said that was all they had but the room did come with a fold out sleeper style bed. My friend ended the stalemate by saying that was fine, he’d sleep in the fold out sleeper bed. So there. Some diplomacy, reaching across the aisle BS just like the news readers preach to us about. I did ask for a discount as I did not get the room I had reserved and paid for in advance whereupon the counter clerk said due to the service I used to book the room (Expedia), he couldn’t offer a discount. So, that’s m story and I’m sticking to it.

The Front Desk Staff are always polite and professional. The housekeeping services are EXCELLENT. The Inspired Breakfast Table staff are GREAT. Always a very welcoming group of individuals.

The cleaning of the room felt rushed. There was black tar in the water and it tasted dirty. I didn’t feel the room was cleaned very well as the bathroom smelled and the sheets still had grim on them. I checked out a day early because of this, the front desk staff was very nice.
