Nice location! Property needs updates. I understand it is historic hotel but rooms and furniture are old, mattresses were so uncomfortable and hard that we couldn’t sleep properly in the night. Breakfast was good and person at valet was awesome!

Dining & wait staff very friendly & great service.
Need to check railing on 3rd floor between elevators..railing was loose & moved if touched it! Do not lean on it.

The suites building in Charleston has a unique history and vibe but the actual rooms are lacking. My boyfriend and I both had issues with trying to get comfortable on the couch and chairs provided. They also could add some modernized options for plugging in electronics. The staff was kind, I was just hoping for a better experience.

We stayed on the bottom floor. Only complaint would be a musty smell in the room.

My only complaint was the hotel restaurant dissappeared between our last visit 15 yrs ago and this time. We prefer eating in our hotel at night. That said, the morningbreakfast was awesome.
