"Very nice hotel, just needs a makeover here and there. The carpeting in the rooms is old and discoloured, so it looks kinda dirty even if it’s clean. Plus, the carpeting is a dark burgundy, so if you arrive at night, the room gives you a bit of a dingy impression. In daylight it looks much nicer. The hallways have the same problem: dark carpeting and extremely dimly lit, so when you walk from the elevator to your room, it has this vidbe of a sleazy hotel. "This is the first hotel which I need to stay so long - 8D7N. Hence I read the reviews carefully when I was deciding which hotel to book. My family and I were very pleased to have stayed in Westin Chao Yang. The staff we met were all very polite and helpful. The family deluxe room has two queen size beds. I could loan amenities such as a fan, a humidifier and different types of pillows and I could adjust the temperature for a comfortable sleep at night. The pool was heated to 28 degrees and it is...

"I had a really lovely stay. The check-in process was smooth, housekeeping excellent, breakfast service great, although the chefs at the egg station were always unpleasant. Others on breakfast service were very warm and friendly. Check-out was also smoooth and the agents pleasant."

"Erm. This was unlike any other Fairmonts I've stayed at elsewhere around the world. The hard product is solid. The rooms are large and well-equipped. The gym is excellent and I even checked out the pool. Large bathroom was great. The soft product was sort of how I imagined hotels in North Korea are like. Stern, cold, minimal. Each staff member we saw felt like they were there more to monitor us and our movements than to provide welcoming, warm service. No smiles. One-word check-in. Frigid....

"A wonderful hotel with helpful front desk staff. Breakfast has many options, including coffee station, juice station, western and Chinese foods, amd fresh fruits. Has a nice fitness center. Walking to distance to fast food options, like KFC and a mall with upscale stores and Wumart, which is a grocery store. I highly recommend this hotel."
