"We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....

"10/10 5nights stay! Superb location- with restaurants, shops and near the harbour. also, walkable to bus stations. Amazing staff- very attentive, always happy to help and will drop what she (forgot her name) is doing to greet you in the morning. Rooms are quiet considering it is in centre of Old Town. Clean rooms- with towels, slippers and robes, staff will ask if you want it changed daily. Loved the racks to hang wet swimming clothes and water hose to remove the sand. You cannot turn...

"Maria was the absolute best. She made us feel warm & welcome and was very attentive to our needs. The location couldn’t have been better. You can walk to everything, including Historical sights, restaurants, as well as shops of every kind. Two blocks away is a sight seeing bus pick up, which we hopped on. That was nice. If I had one complaint, it would be that does get a bit noisy at night on the weekend, but that was a small price to pay for a location that gets you everything. "

Eva provided a warm welcome and gave valuable info re taxi to airport and the city Even before we arrived Eva helped by email with a request. Beautiful restored building inside. "I ended up staying at Casa Modiano for over a week and was able to stay in several rooms. Room 5 with a couch was my favorite because it was a bit more spacious but all three rooms I had were lovely. Great decor, incredible location, delicious breakfast. Loved sitting on the balcony sipping wine, feeling the breeze off the ocean and writing. Near everything but one street removed from the waterfront noise. Much more charming. "

Highly recomended stay in Chania!

"This Hotel is excellent. It is modern clean and conveniently situated. The staff are exceptional. The receptionists, Elaine and Katerina are welcoming and do everything possible to be helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a superb buffet breakfast and were greeted warmly by Petro or Agiara every day. The room 301 was a spacious city facing with every possible facility and the view from the enormous balcony included the distant mountains. We spent three comfortable nights close to a small sandy beach from which local people swam even in January! The walk along the sea front to the Venetian harbour took twenty five minutes. There are cafes and restaurants within easy reach. We cannot rcommend the Hyperion too highly."
