We did not mind not having a tv as much as we missed being able to get reception on our iPhones.

Our New "Go To" in the Champaign area.
Nice, quiet place. Rooms are not enormous, but certainly more than adequate for a night or two. After having a excellent dinner in a German restaurant in Gibson City, we sat out on the patio and watched a storm pass by as it got dark. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful! We have season tickets to Illini football games and the inn is less than 30 minutes from the stadium. We already have plans to return several more time this season.

Everything was great. However, it would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room to keep some drinks cool. That would not keep me from staying there again though.

First B & B experience
My daughter and I stayed in the Morning Glory suite! Beautifully decorated! Grounds are simply stunning! Wish we had more time to explore the 25 acres! Breakfast was wonderful, thank you Connie for accommodating our early departure time!

Beautiful B & B and exceptional hostess!
It was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast. The facility and the grounds were absolutely stunning, hostess Connie is lovely and we so enjoyed talking with her (and her breakfast was delish, as well as wonderful hospitality). Our visit during breakfast with other guests was such a delight. We can?t wait to go back in the fall and enjoy the outside fireplace and the beautiful colors!

Horrific experience with owner, never got to stay
If there were a 0 star rating I?d give it, but there isn?t, so 1 star will have to do. I booked a one-night anniversary getaway online. The B&B had a Specials page that included a discount for anniversaries if proof of wedding date is provided. There were no instructions as to how to book the rate, just a button that linked to the regular booking site. I assumed the hotel would provide a rebate once we showed up with the anniversary proof and went ahead with the booking, and followed up with an email to confirm that we wanted that rate and would provide proof at check in. I got a response from the owner saying that ?Once your card is charged for the reservation amount that you agree to online, we don?t offer a refund.? I explained about the unclear instructions on the web site and his responses became more and more accusing and unreasonable. When we showed up at the B&B after a half-hour drive, we found the door locked and an envelope taped to the door with a refund check, saying that we were not welcome and should find somewhere else to stay. Seems a rather un-Christian act for a place that claims to be Christian! Obviously I cannot recommend this venue at all.

Not LGBTQ friendly!
Though the accomodations and decor are lovely, they have never been LGBTQ friendly and I do not recommend choosing them as a place to stay.

waste of time
after my fiancé talked to the owner about a date that we wanted to have our wedding at Timber Creek, we decided to drive the 2hour drive to check it out. After talking, and getting a tour of the place,, we were both xcited about the place. we were there 15 min and was informed that ,,,even tho the dates that we wanted,, a year from now, were indeed open,, we cant have it there on those dates. Was told that our wedding was not big enough, We were planning on 2 nights , renting the whole place , plus the cabin for our family. We were told to get married on Halloween. To me this is rude and a bad business decision. Thank you Mr & Mrs Timber Creek, for wadting our time,, you have a beautiful place,,but maybe up front and honest to someone over the phone before they invest 4 hours of driving. And make it known that your not interested in 30 person wedding,, not enough money for ya.

Do not stay here
Just to start off, this place is in fact a beautiful place to look at and stay. The main problem is the owner. He is rude and much like a bad father. Don't walk the grounds at night or else he will be sitting on the steps waiting to ask why you were outside after dark. Also, make sure you don't expect an actual bed and breakfast service on a sunday morning. If you try to get a chargeback on your credit card because of majorly unsatisfactory circumstance, he will lie and lie and lie until he wins, so it isn;t worth it unless you plan on getting legal. I'd say more, but I know he will get on here and try to refute any and all claims, but just know he is a liar.

Two Night Stay in the Black Canopy Room at at Timber Creek
Timber Creek is set way back off the road for delightful peace and quiet. A lovely patio with outdoor fireplace looked very enticing but rain prevented us from taking advantage of that amenity. The building is warm and welcoming as you enter. The hostess is anxious to please and available if needed. Breakfasts were delicious, appealing and nutritious. A gas fireplace in the bedroom provided a warm glow on a rainy, damp night. We plan to stay there again when we are in the area!!

Highly Recommend!
We came for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The only regret I have, is not having come to stay sooner! The setting and decor are just perfect! You can not beat the service and atmosphere. We plan on coming back every year for our Anniversary!
