The manager was very kind and welcoming. We did not let the property know about our after hours check in (we had not seen the check in hours) and arrived very late. The door was closed, , so we called the phone number on the door. the manager answered immediately and despite the late hour was very welcoming and gave us instructions. Short but very nice stay. Location is very convenient to split the journey from south of France to Paris.

The cutest little hotel, within easy walking distance of the train station. Peaceful little oasis.
The one hitch was that there was no one at reception when we checked in or out. The building was locked when we arrived, and we had to call the contact number to get a code to get in. Not a huge deal, as the contact was very responsive and helpful, but we didn't have an international phone plan, so it'll cost us a little.

Overnight stop.

A great 2 night stay
Posted 23 Jun 2019 on HotelsWe had a relaxing 2 night stay. Madame was exceptionally helpful. Facilities were good, including a spa which we enjoyed after a day cycling. Breakfast was excellent with great variety. Our only negative comment is that our shower head attachment was broken.

Quirky Chalon Hotel

Pros: Quiet and convenient for town centre.
Cons: The standard of the buffet breakfast.
Location: Well positioned for walking to town centre.
This is a quirky hotel about 10 mins walk from Chalon town centre. It is delightfully quiet, a lttle Fawlty Towers-like, but it serves its purpose well. The breakfast buffet is not quite as good as it should be, doesn't quite hit the mark. But overall an excellent spot for a quiet visit to Chalon- sur-Saône.

Nice three star

Still surprised that no form of cooling was available in the bedroom. would have expected at least a ceiling fan in a 3 star hotel, but fortunately the weather was not too hot. Otherwise room was clean and comfortable and the bedside lights were individually controlled.
