Horrible experience, stay away
Posted 10 Feb 2024 on HotelsThe worst hotel experience in my life. I booked this hotel for 2 days, nearest to my family, since it had 3 of my top priorities: 1. Good wifi 2. Breakfast 3. Gym.
The gym was out of service; the wifi was week and inefficient for mettings; I left within the hour so I didn’t try the breakfast. Elevator wait was unbearable (one out of 3 is for the garage only BUT THERE IS NO SIGN FOR IT, so you wait for nothing).
Asked for a refund and still nothing yet (it’s been a week) even though they contacted me via WhatsApp to inform me “of their decision”. NO MANAGEMENT on weekends!
Unbelievable…stay away.

Classic 1960s hotel

Cons: The hotel needs more business. It would be a shame to see it be closed or converted into something else. It's one of those classics that's super cool.
Location: The historic municipal market, retail shopping district, and historic public squares are all within an easy walk, as are many good restaurants.
This hotel may not be in the best neighborhood, but it is close to everything in the historic center of Porto Alegre. The public areas are beautiful, with lots of marble and design touches that speak of the 1950s and '60. Could be the setting of a Cary Grant film. Very stylish, albeit of that period. Rooms are fine -- no complaints. The breakfast (included) is provided in a very chic dining room and is ample, with lots of variety. The lobby bar is also a classic -- very elegant. The staff was helpful, courteous and professional. For its room rate, the hotel represents an excellent cost to benefit ratio.

Pros: Overall attention to guest.
Location: The churasqueria that's close by, also the House of worship.
It was good overall, breakfast was exceptional along with the staff.
