"Great staff and variety of quality food choices. We really enjoyed our 2 hr snorkelling trip off of the beach. The beach itself is nice for walking ,but expect some salespeople to interrupt you and a fair bit of seaweed in the water. The pools were perfect though for us and our teenagers. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at Whitesands. "

My worry is that someone called me witj a 1 (USA) number, claiming to be from Expedia and asking for my credit card details. I found that truly worrisome. How did the person know I had booked? You need to look into that."

"Modern hotel with large pool and a good selection of restaurants. Good view of the city especially at dawn and sunset. There is a beach but not sure about water quality. Pool was good but a shower in the changing room would be useful. Room fairly small but well equipped. Glass door and window to the bathroom is ok for privacy but the light wakes the other occupant at night Not cheap but worth the cost "

"Good enough to be right in the heart of mombasa. Walkable to mombasa mall. Great patio entertainment every night. Just the main reception charges extras for guests. My other hotel didn’t do it so it must be a company decision to do that. $2000 ksh per night. That’s a lot compared to booking for 2 travellers when booking. "

"Stayed for 6 nights with kids and was upgraded. The room was super clean, staff service was great. While the food was good options are limited. I didnt like the snack pool as it seems to require better care (was not clear/clean enough). But we really enjoyed our stay."

"Place had some age but it was still very charming and had a great view overlooking the water from our front sitting veranda. Breakfast left a little to be desired and are checking experience wasn't the best has it seemed like maybe the front staff was having a bad day. But the room was great overall and I had a nice pool and it was a very close walk to the beach and the restaurants there. "We loved the room. It was a three bedroom pent house and it included a balcony view overlooking the ocean. I did not want to leave. I plan to come back and stay for a full week. Loved everything about our room and the staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. "

"The ambiance of the apartment eas made so nice by the wooden furniture. The worse thing was the quality if the dining service. The cooking was terrible and the servers were very slow.
