"Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the marina. You're looking through the castle's crenelations, because you are in an old fort. Bathroom lighting is a bit much, but it's clean. The location could not be better. The staff were universally competent and friendly, eager to please. There is quite a large lobby with easy chairs, chess tables, books, and a bar that also serves food. Again, staff were excellent. Breakfast was first class. In short a well-run, well-staffed, very pretty hotel...

The breakfast, paid separately and taken in the cafe opposite, was exceptional value albeit slightly limited in scope. Again lovely staff in the cafe. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation"
