Hot and tired room

Room is hotter than death. Aircon unit doesn't blow cold air and there is no opening window. Clearly an ongoing issue as there is a fan in the room. The room was clearly built and setup to a high standard but not maintained as the bathroom walls are chipped and gouged.

Good for the price, beautiful building but feels run down. Bed was too soft for me and the windows do not open so very stuffy even with the AC on.

This property is not great, everything was broken, it was not clean, but the staff and service were wonderful.

Okay but don't believe the photos!

The entrance was uninspiring but once inside the two security doors the interior was fine. The bedroom was spacious, reasonably equipped with a large bathroom and good shower. Unfortunately two of the light shades were badly damaged and there was a hole in the bathroom wall where the toilet roll holder used to be. Only continental breakfast (okay) no real bar or restaurant available. The outside areas would have been nice if they had been weed free and clean. The photos on line bear no resemblance to reality - this is currently a tired three star hotel in a great location.

The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. The television didn't work. The fixtures in the bathroom were loose, some broken. There was no way to get into the hotel except walking up 10 stairs with a very heavy suitcase. Actually, that's not true. To leave the hotel, I asked if there was a way out without the stairs. The kind receptionist took me out a staff-only door which was a filthy, smelly alley. Finally, I left a piece of sentimental jewelry in the room, notified Reception and asked for its return. The receptionist said Housekeeping had left (it was 2 pm) but she said she herself would follow up and call me back. I then emailed the hotel confirming my call and advising of the lost jewelry. Two days later, I've still not heard anything. Pretty sure my jewelry was taken. Do not stay here.
