Morris House Hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. Staff was welcoming from the start with a tour of the house and offered tea and cookies at check in. So much history! We met many other families in the dining hall and the overall atmosphere was very delightful. I will say that the house is old so we did have to play the too hot/too cold game in the shower but overall we will be back the next time we’re in Philadelphia.

We loved the Morris House. It was a quick trip for us in the historic part of Philadelphia so staying in such a charming and historic home turned hotel added so much to our experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was large and comfortable. We especially loved the restaurant attached to the hotel. Our stay was great and we'd definitely return in the future.

Built in the late 1700's and was updated expertly with modern conveniences to make our stay great. Located only a block from the historic district and walking distance to other sites. The staff was exceptional, especially Jim. He gave us a tour of the building explaining its origins and history. He took the time to give us many tips that made a big difference on our 3 day stay. There is a small parking area at the front door off a side street to unload bags. A parking garage is immediately across the street. Be aware that we paid $102 for 3 days parking, at least it was safe. The room was very quiet and the bed was so comfortable we hated to get out in the morning. We booked a mini suite on the third floor (no elevators) which made the journey upward a bit tiring on a couple in their late 70's. The staff kept the room and the entire building clean. Breakfast was simple with the usual fare. As far as food, there are a wealth of eateries close by ranging from quick and cheap to full course dining - with prices to match. You can't go wrong staying here - great place!
