I liked the couple that run this hotel at night. They were very helpful despite the fact I speak no French. Entry into the parking garage could be an issue and the gate has to be opened by the gentleman.
They close at 8PM, so don't be late and there is a code to get in the front door to walk around town. There was a great pizza place out the hotel to the left and left and that's where an Irish bar is and I ate my pizza on their outside tables and both proprietors were happy to have me (provided I bought something which is typical worldwide). It's a relatively small city and not many English speaking people would go there and that made it very quaint. I That made it even better. A friend of mine from France told me it was a big Melon growing area in the south central part of France. I would definitely go again. Rooms were fine and very adequate for an overnight stay.

Cons: The Bed system. If someone gets a double bed, its because they want a big bed. They do not want two singles shoved together.
This hotel was was right in the center of things. Good room, high ceilings, and a lovely towel warmer. One grievance I had was that a "Double Bed" was simply two smaller beds pushed together, and that I didn't appreciate that much, as it prevents being able to sleep in the center of the bed.
Overall, staff was very kind, room was nice, shower was nice, and location was nice.

Great place to stay

Pros: Appearance and location
Cons: No AC, and it got HOT while we were there.
Location: Very central. Excellent.
Great location and pretty hotel. We stayed as a family of four. The only issues were the heat, and the lack of elevator.

There was no lift and hotel charged for parking. These points would have been helpful beforehand

middle of town
Posted 22 Apr 2011 on HotelsWhen we first saw this hotel, we were quite concerned that we picked a ringer. The building looked old and it was in the middle of the city. Instead, the owner ran out to open the gate to the parking lot, and helped us to get our bags inside. There is no elevator and rooms are at least two full flights up. Other than that inconvenience, the room was very nice, and comfortable. The next morning, breakfast was in a room with a live fireplace. The food presentation was outstanding. At all times, the owner/manager was available.
The owner made several suggestions for dinner, all within walking distance, and one of his suggestions turned out to be our best meal of the trip.
If you can get passed the facade, you're in for a great stay, in an excellent location.

Totally Awful - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Posted 4 Sep 2010Absolutely terrible hotel. The manager was a French version of Basil Fawlty. Poorly maintained room and facilities. I was told that breakfast would be available from 7am and that the secure car park would also open at 7am. At 8:20am reception and car park were still locked, thankfully I has not used the car park as it was full and was so able to leave on time. I am surprised that this kind of establishment is still allowed to operate.
