Great large bedroom with retreat, property location and hosts. We felt very comfortable during our stay. Enjoyed the daily breakfast, drinks and charcuterie during the afternoon. We visited the nearby waterfalls and hiking during the day.

Perfect stay
Posted 21 Jul 2024 on HotelsThis was an excellent place to stay. I happened to become sick just before we arrived, so spent all my time in the room and was very comfortable the entire time. It helped that I had a view of the mountains from the bed. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Tea kettle. It was everything I needed. The breakfast, which I could finally eat on the last day, was superb -- local foods, home-baked breakfast cakes, good coffee and tea.

Very sweet family run hotel - very kind and helpful people, delicious dinner, comfortable and quiet. Hope to come back!

Lion D’or is a very VERY charming hotel in a great location across the street from the thermal spas and extremely close to everything in Cauterets. Toma, his aunt and mother run a lovely gem of a hotel and our stay there was perfect!

We stayed in this lovely establishment for three nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful which was an added delight. We had the breakfast each day which was delicious. My husband was a big fan of the fresh orange juice machine. A great start to our day. We enjoyed one. evening meal which changes daily. It was generous and delicious.Thank you to All the staff for making our stay such a wonderful experience.

Quaint hotel
Posted 11 Jun 2023 on HotelsThis is a quaint hotel close to a lot of restaurants and shops. We were there in June, so it was off season. Lots of places were closed but the hotel itself was great!
