We actually walked to the property from the Catania bus station. This location is near bars, sex shop etc. I would it was unsafe but it also didn't feel very safe either because all the bars it's surrounded by. Outside of the property/street isn't super clean but it's Catania and most of the street were dirty. Inside the hotel was clean and super beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our AC seems to not work correctly.. so we got super hot at night..we stayed only one night so we just kinda dealt with it..

This is a lovely property. The rooms are elegant & the staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast superb!!!!

The location is good in the old town but the rooms are tired, strange musty smell.

The location is not ideal for someone with a car but on the other hand it is very well situated to the main attractions of Catania.

As you yourself have been able to see, arriving by car is very simple. You can unload your luggage comfortably in front of the door of the structure and then choose whether to go to the convenient garage, 4 minutes from the B&B or park inside the blue lines 2 minutes walk away or in the free parking lots near the structure. The hosts were excellent, responsive. The rooms were clean and well appointed and maintained. The included breakfast was fantastic with far more food than we could eat and it was all delicious. My only complaint was the A/C was not working in our room, and it was pretty warm for September. Our friends across the hall said theirs worked great and their room was very comfortable. There is parking and it was safe off the street for a small extra fee, about a 5 minute walk from the property.

Regarding the air conditioners, all the rooms are equipped with new machines that are periodically serviced. It is likely that the problem in your room occurred due to a remote control setting error.
