Excellent stay at cozy Casa Chilota
Posted 4 Mar 2020 on HotelsExcellent stay at cozy Casa Chilota. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is great. It's located on the shore very near the large artisan market area. I would stay here again.

The owners and staff are particularly friendly and helpful! There is a beautiful view from the reading room outside our bedroom, of the sea! The breakfast was great and fresh fruit and tea is left out all day to enjoy.

Casa Chilota is beautifully decorated. The bed is really comfortable. The location is excellent, you can walk to the main square and church in about 10 minutes. Maria, the owner, is really helpful - she picked us up from the bus station when we arrived late in the evening, found us a car to hire and made us a packed breakfast when we had to leave really early on our last day. The breakfasts were amazing - the best we’ve had in 3 months of travelling - eggs cooked to order, fresh avocado, sour dough and whole meal toast, fruit, granola and cereals, yoghurt, milk, fresh coffee, teas, and delicious desserts (like apple empanada and berry cheesecake)!
The only slight negative is that the doors are quite low and my husband hit his head on the frames a couple of times (he’s 6ft). He also had to bend down a bit to use the shower! But otherwise we really loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone considering booking it!

Thank you very much for your comments!
We are so glad that you have had a great time in our B&B and that you had enjoyed the character and decoration tipical of the old houses in Chiloé.
Is good to know that you loved the breakfast, we care a lot about it, and always try to have good local and artisan products.
We are so sorry that your husban hit his head. We have had hit our heads also if we are distracted. This old house has low ceilings, because people from Chiloé wasn’t tall at all, so that’s why ceilings and doors are so low., but, we think, that’s also part of the charm.
We hope you keep enjoying the rest of your wonderful trip and have a safe return to your home.
Kind regards,
María de los Ángeles y Alejandro.
