So quiet I drove straight past the place. Cosy wee well appointed room. Walls a bit thin though.

I stopped here, as I was ill. The staff made me lemon herbal drink and brought it to my room, they very kind to me. The Anex room was basic but Very reasonably priced for a room with bathroom

Hi Clifford,I hope you are feeling better? Your review pretty much sums up Room 3, but I’m going to roll with basic, reasonably priced and gave a bathroom. It’s a shame you were unwell, I could tell you were keen to see the area. All the very best,Michelle

Great little village inn. The proprietor and chef Michelle was welcoming and friendly. The attached restaurant was delicious. We had a beautiful dinner and Scottish breakfast the following morning. You definitely get a great glimpse of village life in this friendly little village pub. The room was clean and comfortable. You will enjoy it here! Thank you for your lovely Scottish hospitality.

This room (or at least the one we had which was a sort of loft conversion, accessed by metal plane style stairs) was absolutely fine either for people who are absolutely fit and mobile and on a budget, or people staying one or two nights only. We were only booked for one night and that was fine. The metal stairs are slippery in the rain BUT the owners in showing us up to the room helped carry cases etc. It is not difficult but if you have any mobility challenges, be sure to ask for ground floor room. Bathroom was shower, loo, small sink - very clean and some in room toiletries also provided which was a nice touch. Our room had several beds and I think was the family room, which makes it ideal for some groups, but as a couple we'd have preferred one larger double bed - however, we had to book this fairly late in our planning, it was the only room available and it was really well priced for the area. Food downstairs in the pub is nice, my tip would be stick to the classics like the burgers and lasagna. More ambitious looking dishes like the scallop and black pudding starter were OK but felt less good in terms of value for money - I had burger envy of my husband's choice! Staff cannot do enough for you and given how tiny the place is in terms of two or so people running the bar, kitchen and dealing with on site accommodation queries they do a smashing job. Our breakfasts in the morning were DELICIOUS.

Thank you for your review, very kind.I’m response to your sticking to classics, I take your criticism, unfortunately due to rising prices constantly, our most popular starter (the king scallops with black pudding) has to be priced at 11.95 due to the price of scallops, bizarre considering a produce on our doorstep. I took them off for 2 weeks and had to put them back on, believe me doing everything as a small team that we are, a scallop order doesn’t bring me much joy , and I live in eggs and fish. I hope the rest of your trip was good.Kindest regards, Michelle

The breakfast was very poor, no cereals, no juice or extra toast and Jam etc. Our sons room had no windows plus the laundry room next door was noisy all night so he didn't get much sleep. His shower wasn't working but they did knock the price down.
