"This is not your typical hotel but a guest house with 4 or 5 rooms. It is right on the canal by a bridge and around the corner from a piazza, so a very lovely spot. Maria was at the front desk when we check in and was very friendly, nice and helpful. She showed us our room and the amenities, and even assisted with booking a water taxi for us for the airport for the next morning. The property is lovely and charming- note that there isn't an elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs. The rooms are decorated to make you feel as if you've stepped into old world Venice. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The air con is not what we are used to in the States, but the room had a standing fan and that plus the air con made it comfortable to sleep. There were a variety of restaurants not far away. I would stay here again. "

"This is something of a gem. A traditional Venetian hotel. Has an old school feel to it with excellent service. It is on a beautiful canal. The immediate area around the hotel is fairly quiet but very close to the action if needed. The best of both worlds. "
